THE PURCELL SCHOOL
The Purcell School of Music has hosted The Piano Teachers’ Course UK since 2008. It is one of the principal schools in the UK for talented and gifted musicians.

Situated in Bushey, Hertfordshire on the outskirts of North London it offers outstanding music facilities.
The Music Centre comprises a large Recital Room for lectures, workshops and concerts; and many further rooms for tutorials and practice, all of which are furnished with Steinway and Fazioli pianos.

Two weekends of the course are residential, and accommodation is provided in one of Purcell’s boarding houses – single rooms, grouped in small units with shared bathrooms. There are green rooms and a TV lounge to relax in, and some of the bedrooms have pianos.

The school offers exceptional levels of (frequent) catering. The Chef is also used to catering for vegetarians, vegans and those with different dietary conditions.

For wheelchair users, or those with mobility issues, there are ramps and lifts throughout Purcell School – and limited bedrooms with disabled facilities.

Travel access to Purcell is pleasantly straightforward. The school is ten minutes from Bushey and Watford Junction railway stations, with their fast (19 minute) connection to London Euston.
Luton airport is 15 minutes away and Heathrow is 45. Travelling from Gatwick or Stansted can take up to an hour & a half, depending on traffic.

The M1(J5) and M25 are minutes from the school, giving easy road access to the rest of the UK.
