Andrew Eales is a piano teacher, educational consultant, writer and composer based in Milton Keynes UK, where he runs his independent music education business and creative outlet Keyquest Music

Andrew read music at the University of Birmingham before studying harpsichord and fortepiano as a postgraduate at the Royal College of Music. His teachers included David Ponsford, Robert Woolley, and Hungarian concert pianist Joseph Weingarten

Andrew was Head of Piano for Milton Keynes Music Service for several years. He has worked on several projects which have helped to shape and improve musical education in the UK, and played a leading role in writing A Common Approach and the ABRSM Music Medals for keyboard. His electronic keyboard method series Keyquest sold more than 10,000 copies.

In Autumn 2011 Andrew made his first teaching trip to the USA as international guest teacher at the Colorado Federation of Music Clubs Junior Convention. He returned to Colorado in 2013, accepting the role of Education Director of KEYBAND! USA

Andrew has an active online presence. On Facebook he leads the Piano Network UK group, while on SoundCloud his piano recordings have clocked up nearly half a million listens. His blog Pianodao was started in 2015 and now has regular readers in more than 90 countries worldwide.
